A large-scale project operated by Everok Group Tianjin Company is coming towards its destination --- Mongolia, and will be delivered to the client in 15 days.
Undertaken by the Everok Group US-Canada branch, this large ro-ro vehicle project is run by Tianjin branch, Everok Group. The goal is to import the large cargo collection of 12 SOC containers, 4 combined harvesters plus 4 tractors ro- ro ferries to Tianjin in six batches, and, to transport to Mongolia after transit.
However, with problems coming up one after another, there is no plain sailing for this long trip of cargos. But under the coordinating work of General Manager Marlene Gu and Operation Director Annie Wang together with the whole company’s team play, all the difficulties are overcome, hence, faith on the company is won from the customers and agents.
Here are the details. The 4 combined harvesters were scheduled to transit via Singapore to Tianjin Port, on March 25, 2016. But due to a shipholder’s sequence error of shipment in the loading port, a large second-hand Thai vehicle was shipped ahead of ours, and it couldn’t start when reaching the next port, which resulted in our failure to unload the goods. After negotiation, the shipowner promised to send the ro-ro ferry back to Singapore again to get the Thai vehicle repaired and restart. Only after that, can our cargos get in another ro-ro ship to safely arrive in Tianjin port again on April 20, 2016.
Unexpectedly, after arriving at the Tianjin Port, troublesome situation arise again - there was something wrong with one of the harvesters' ignition keyhole! Faced with this problem, the company acted really calmly and skillfully, contacting the domestic brand manufacturer thus to get help from the technical personnel on the one hand, and consulting with the shipowner, asking for departure delay on the other hand. Getting permission of 4 hours’ delay, the keyhole problem was eventually solved and the combine-harvester was unloaded from the ferry successfully.
The trip of this ro-ro vehicle project started from the US, then imported to Tianjin through Singapore, finally exported to its destination, Outer Mongolia. It was a long way to go, time-consuming and with lots of difficulties, during which, it is, again, the Group's core professional proficiency, defined as delegated cooperation-based global supply chain, that promotes the perfect completion of it.
